HPR 591 - Therapeutic Modalities

Prerequisite(s): This course is for Athletic Training Majors ONLY. In order to register for this course, you must have earned a grade of C or better in: HPR 502, HPR 503, KIN 831/KIN 831L. Corequisite(s): HPR 591L. The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge pertaining to theory and application of therapeutic modalities used in athletic training. This includes physiological response to athletic injuries and how therapeutic modalities act to facilitate healing. This course also includes a laboratory experience where students will develop hands-on skills necessary for the effective delivery of therapeutic modalities on simulated injured athletes.
