Overview

The Schools of Biological, Environmental, and Earth Sciences and Mathematics and Natural Sciences offer a program of study leading to a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences.

Admission Requirements

In addition to meeting the Academic Requirements and Procedures , applicants must submit the following.

1. The applicant must have a grade point average equivalent to at least 3.0 (calculated on a 4.0 scale) for the last two years of undergraduate study, and a grade point average of at least 3.0 on undergraduate courses in the field of proposed graduate study.
2. The applicant must have at least three (3) letters of recommendation from persons qualified to assess the applicant’s readiness for graduate study sent to the Graduate School or uploaded into the application.
3. Completion of Biochemistry course with a B or better
4. Completion of 2 semesters of General Biology with labs with a C or better
5. Completion of 1 semester of Genetics with a C or better
6. Completion of 1 semester Microbiology with lab with a C or better
7. Applicant must pay an application fee for each application submitted.

The target dates for receipt of applications for admission for the fall and spring semesters are July 15 and November 15, respectively. Late applications are not accepted.

• BSC 755 - Advanced Physiology 3 hrs.
• BSC 787 - Comparative Immunology 3 hrs.
• DPH 623 - Biostatistics 3 hrs.
• SKN 601 - Applied Physiology in Sport, Physical Activity, and Nutrition 3 hrs.
• KIN 831 - Gross Anatomy 3 hrs.
• KIN 831L - Gross Anatomy Laboratory 2 hrs.
