Overview
The Master of Science in Coaching and Sport Performance is a fully online program that trains professionals in the most current coaching practices and technological advances in sport. Development in methods for assessing, evaluating, coaching, and training a diverse range of athletes will prepare students for advanced career opportunities in coaching within professional, intercollegiate, interscholastic, and youth sport settings. The curriculum enables students to acquire and demonstrate coaching skills through a combination of required courses, research, and experiential components.

Admission Requirements
In addition to the requirements detailed in Admissions Requirements and Procedures , applicants must submit the following documents:
- Statement of purpose
- Résumé
- Three Letters of Recommendation
Program Requirements and Academic Policies
In addition to the requirements detailed in General Degree Requirements and General Academic Information , this program requires students to select either the thesis option or the non-thesis option.
The non-thesis option requires the completion of a three credit hour practicum experience (KIN 696 - Practicum ). The practicum offers students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in an actual work environment, under the guidance of an athletic administrator, coach, or sport professional. Each semester hour of academic credit requires a minimum of 50 clock hours (a minimum of 150 hours total) of on-the-job training performed under the framework of a contract, mutually agreed upon by the student, the faculty supervisor, and appropriate agency personnel.
