Merchandising Minor

Requirements for a Minor

All students pursuing a minor in merchandising must complete six hours from the following courses:

MER 121 - Principles of Merchandising 3 hrs.
MER 330 - Textile Industrial Complex 3 hrs.

Students must also complete 12 hours from the following courses:

MER 222 - Professionalism in Merchandising 3 hrs.
MER 331 - Product Analysis 3 hrs.
MER 332 - Societal Influences on Consumer Behavior 3 hrs.
MER 335 - History of Apparel 3 hrs.
MER 337 - Applied Merchandising 3 hrs.
MER 436 - Retail Buying and Assortment Planning 3 hrs.
MER 437 - Apparel Product Development 3 hrs.
MER 438 - Sustainability and Global Sourcing 3 hrs.
MER 478 - Integrated Merchandising Channels 3 hrs.
