The Foundations in Accounting Certificate is a 12-hour curriculum that provides foundational knowledge and skills in accounting. The certificate program is open to current business majors and other members of the community who have an undergraduate degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution (in any discipline) and are interested in acquiring foundational knowledge and skills in accounting.
The number of credit hours earned for this certificate will not be adequate for CPA licensure in most states nor will BA 250 count as an accounting course for CPA licensure. One looking at earning the credit hours required for CPA licensure is encouraged to explore the Certificate in Professional Accountancy.

In order to receive the certificate, students must receive no lower than a “C” and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA in the certificate courses.
