Management Minor

Academic Policies and Requirements for Minors:

Fifty percent of the minor courses must be taken at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Course Requirements

Nonbusiness students minoring in management must complete 18 hours as follows:

MGT 300 - Management for Organizations 3 hrs.

15 hours from:

MGT 325 - Operations Management 3 hrs.
HRM 364 - Human Resource Management 3 hrs.
ENTR 375 - Introduction to Entrepreneurship 3 hrs.
MGT 454 - Organizational Behavior 3 hrs.
MGT 455 - Organization Theory 3 hrs.
MGT 465 - Production and Operations Management 3 hrs. (Prerequisites: BA 201 , MGT 300 , MGT 325 )
HRM 468 - Compensation Administration & Performance Management 3 hrs.
HRM 470 - Organizational Staffing & Development 3 hrs.
HRM 472 - Human Resources Management in Governmental and Nonprofit Organizations 3 hrs.
ENTR 475 - New Venture Creation 3 hrs. (Prerequisites: ENTR 375 , FIN 380 )
MGT 480 - Leadership 3 hrs.
MGT 495 - International Management 3 hrs.
