Understanding the language of finance and real estate is essential for an ability to financially plan for individuals to get the most of out their money for the long run. Therefore, Personal Finance Certificate covers financial analysis, real estate principle, and planning, and personal finance.

Academic Policies and Requirements for Certificates:

Students must receive no lower than a “C” and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA in the certificate courses.
Students may request a waiver of prerequisite requirements based on industry experience. Such a waiver requires director approval.
FIN 300 is a prerequisite for FIN 392 .
ACC 200 with a grade of C or better is a prerequisite for FIN 380 .

Hours to Certificate: 12 hours

Required courses:

FIN 200 - Personal Finance 3 hrs.
FIN 380 - Financial Analysis 3 hrs.
REI 330 - Real Estate Principles 3 hrs.
FIN 392 - Estate and Business Planning 3 hrs.

Note:

FIN 300 is a prerequisite for FIN 392 . ACC 200 with a grade of C or b etter is a prerequisite for FIN 380 .
