The Bachelor of Science program in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Microbiology combines the study of microorganisms (bacteria, archaea, fungi, protists, and viruses), and immunology (functionality of the immune system). Students will learn how microorganisms positively and negatively influence health, society, and the environment, as well as investigate their role in biomedicine and biotechnology. - Students seeking a second baccalaureate in biological sciences typically complete the same course requirements as do students seeking the first baccalaureate.
