Students who choose BSC 110 /BSC 110L  and BSC 111 /BSC 111L  can choose either BSC 282 /BSC 282L  or BSC 283 /BSC 283L .

Students who choose BSC 250 /BSC 250L  and BSC 251 /BSC 251L  must choose BSC 283 /BSC 283L .

BSC 110 /BSC 110L  and BSC 111 /BSC 111L  must be taken as a sequence.

BSC 250 /BSC 250L  and BSC 251 /BSC 251L  must be taken as a sequence.

Hours to Degree


124 hours are needed to graduate with a BS in Medical Laboratory Science. Of the total hours applied to this degree, 30 hours must be in courses numbered at the 300 level or above. The student must earn at least 21 of the last 30 hours of course work and at least 12 hours in the major area of study from Southern Miss. See Residence Hour Requirements  for more information.
