  • MEA 360 - Sports Entertainment and Production

This course is designed to give students real world ¿ hands-on experience in the world of sports media.  Students will create a sports profile that demonstrates their understanding and mastering of sports production.
  
  • MEA 361 - Play-By-Play and Voicing for Sports

    Prerequisite(s): MEA 101 , MEA 102 MEA 103 . Corequisite(s): MEA 230  and MEA 240 . This course introduces students to the field of sports announcing with an emphasis on play-by-play, sports anchoring, stadium/emcee announcing, and sports streaming across esports and traditional sports.

  • MEA 490 - Senior Project I - Proposal and Development

    Prerequisite(s):  MEA 101 , MEA 102 , MEA 103 , MEA 201 , MEA 230 , MEA 240 , senior standing or consent of instructor.  Advanced topics in Media and Entertainment Arts are researched and presented towards the development of senior projects and proposals. Students defend their proposal for completion during Senior Project II, and begin developing the framework for their portfolio and professional identity.
  
  • MEA 491 - Senior Project II - Production and Delivery

    Prerequisite(s):  MEA 101 , MEA 102 , MEA 103 , MEA 201 , MEA 230 , MEA 240 , MEA 490 , senior standing or consent of instructor.  Students produce their final comprehensive Media and Entertainment Arts project, portfolio, and professional identity based on their career interests, educational experiences and proposal from Senior Project I. The course provides guidance through formative and summative evaluation and critique throughout the semester.

Decisions about where product components come from and how they are produced have a direct impact on the environment.  Retailers have a social responsibility to make decisions that are ethical and sustainable while meeting consumer demand.  This course looks at the process of purchasing from global suppliers and how sustainability impacts competition and supply chains.

Digital Media Merchandising/Marketing introduces interactions with customers through digital means by providing a framework and tools for managing and analyzing an organization’s virtual presence for merchandising and marketing purposes. Additionally, this course provides understanding and knowledge of important digital merchandising/marketing domains such as web design, marketing analytics, search engine optimization, paid search marketing, email marketing, and online advertising.     Four weeks of training conducted during the summer months at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Provides constructive credit for students who did not complete MSL 101 , MSL 102 , MSL 201  or MSL 202  prerequisites during the freshman and sophomore academic years.
  
  • MSL 301 - Training Management and the Warfighting Functions

    4 hrs.
    Prerequisite(s): MSL 101 , MSL 102 , MSL 201 , MSL 202  or approval by professor of military science. A detailed study of the fundamentals of small unit tactics; includes a leadership laboratory and physical training requirement.
  
  • MSL 302 - Applied Leadership in Small Unit Operations

    4 hrs.
    Prerequisite(s): MSL 101 , MSL 102 , MSL 201 , MSL 202 , MSL 301  or approval by professor of military science.  A study and practical application of Army values (loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage) to leadership situations; includes a leadership lab and physical training requirement.
  
  • MSL 350 - American Military Experience

    3 hrs.
     A historical study of officership as a profession, the Army’s role and military history analysis using traditional threads of continuity and other analytical tools. Satisfies military history requirement for a minor in military science.
  
  • MSL 401 - The Army Officer

    4 hrs.
    Prerequisite(s): MSL 101 , MSL 102 , MSL 201 , MSL 202 , MSL 301 , MSL 302  or approval by professor of military science. A study and application of leadership while planning, briefing, conducting and evaluating- training Army staffing actions; and the supervision of tactical operations. Includes a leadership laboratory and physical training requirement.
  
  • MSL 402 - Company Grade Leadership

    4 hrs.
    Prerequisite(s): MSL 101 , MSL 102 , MSL 201 , MSL 202 , MSL 301 , MSL 302 , MSL 401  or approval by professor of military science.  Culmination of leadership training, hones skills and knowledge of Army functions, systems and real-world threats, Prepares Cadets for their new role as an officers; includes a leadership laboratory and physical training requirement.
