Requirements for a Minor
All students pursuing a minor in recreation must complete 18 hours in recreation-related KIN courses with a grade of C or better. Minors in recreation will reflect one of two emphasis areas: recreation administration or therapeutic recreation. For the recreation administration emphasis area, the following courses are required: KIN 200 , KIN 322 , KIN 323 and KIN 351 . The remaining six hours may be selected from approved electives following consultation with a recreation advisor. For the therapeutic recreation emphasis area, the following courses are required: KIN 200 , KIN 322 , KIN 323 , KIN 350 and KIN 351 . The remaining three hours may be selected from approved electives following consultation with a recreation advisor.
