Requirements for a Minor

All students pursuing a minor in advertising must complete a minimum of 20 hours of MCJ courses. The following 17 hours are required:

MCJ 102 - Introduction to Media Writing 3 hrs.
MCJ 200 - Introduction to Digital Media Production 2 hrs.
MCJ 312 - Graphic Design 3 hrs.
MCJ 329 - Introduction to Advertising 3 hrs.
MCJ 330 - Advertising Creative Strategy 3 hrs.
MCJ 333 - Advertising Media 3 hrs.

The remaining three hours are to be selected from the following:

MCJ 421 - Public Relations 3 hrs.
MCJ 431 - Advertising Campaigns 3 hrs.
MCJ 433 - Problems and Cases in Advertising 3 hrs.
MCJ 454 - Media Law and Ethics 3 hrs.
MCJ 482 - Seminar in Advertising 3 hrs.
In consultation with an adviser in the school.
