Overview


The School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering offers the M.S. degree in Information Technology and Cybersecurity Management to equip graduates with foundational business, technology, and cybersecurity knowledge essential for developing strategies that align cybersecurity policies with organizational needs.

Admission Requirements


Inclusive of the requirements of the Graduate School Admission Requirements and Procedures , a student applying for admission to this program will need the following to complete their application:

  • Resumè
  • Transcripts
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Three Letters of Recommendation

Program Requirements and Academic Policies


Students must complete 30 hours of coursework. The program is offered 100% online.

Course Requirements (30 hours)


Business Foundations (12 hours)


Business Foundations coursework provides foundational knowledge of business on a graduate level including managing human resources, projects, and budgets.

Cybersecurity (12 hours)


This coursework maps to the Cybersecurity Management certificate, providing knowledge essential for developing strategies that align cybersecurity policies with organizational needs.

Electives (6 hours)


Any course at the 500 or 600 level as approved by advisor. Students entering the program without an academic background in computing may be required to take CSC 501 Fundamentals of Computing in the first semester.
