Physical Education Minor

Requirements for a Minor

All students pursuing a Mississippi add-on endorsement in physical education to their secondary education standard licensure must complete 21 hours in human performance courses with no grade lower than a “C”.

All students pursuing a minor in physical education must complete 21 hours.

The following courses are required:

• HPR 109 - First Aid 2 hrs.
• HPR 210 - Practicum 1 hr.
• HPR 284 - Creative Rhythms 3 hrs.
• HPR 303 - Evaluation in Human Performance and Recreation 3 hrs.
• HPR 326 - Instructional Techniques in Individual and Dual Sports 3 hrs.
• HPR 401 - Corrective and Adaptive Physical Education 3 hrs.
• HPR 404 - Motor Development 3 hrs.
