DEG 02. Secondary Subject Requirements (20-28 hours)

In addition to the major area of study, this program requires the completion of at least one concentrated secondary subject matter area. Each secondary subject matter area requires a prescribed set of courses requiring between 20-28 hours. However, because the degree plan includes several content-specific courses in the GEC and depending on the subject matter area selected, students must complete between 6 and 21 hours to satisfy the DEG 02 requirements. Options for secondary subject matter areas are listed below. Courses marked with an asterisk (*) satisfy a DEG 02 subject matter requirement and could also be used to satisfy a GEC requirement. All courses require a minimum grade of C. Remedial courses do not count toward subject matter requirements.
