The Film Studies program prepares students for a variety of careers in cinema and related industries, including cinematic editing and production, film criticism, screenwriting, festival programming and archiving.

- A “C” or better is required in upper-division FLM courses.
- A minimum program GPA of 2.5 is required
- A minor is required
- Media and entertainment arts majors and minors are required to own a specifically equipped laptop computer and/or peripherals. Specifications are available through the school website.
Internship:
The optional internship course (FLM 429 ) provides supervised experiential learning in a professional setting. Eligible students must submit an internship application prior to the midpoint of the semester preceding the requested internship. Students should meet with the school’s internship coordinator to discuss internship options.
