Sport Management BSBA

The Bachelor of Science in Sport Management prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed for leadership and managerial roles in the sport industry. Graduates are prepared for careers with professional sports teams, intercollegiate and interscholastic athletic programs, university recreation departments, and national athletic organizations. The program combines a strong foundation in business courses, specialized sport management courses, and practical learning opportunities.

• Students majoring in sport management are required to achieve a grade of C or higher in all sport management courses.

Internships and Career Development:

• All students in the major are required to complete three hours of the practicum in sport management (SM 392 ) that provides hands-on professional field experience. Practicum (part-time) and internship (full-time) experience in the sport industry is critical for success in this career field.
