Non-Profit Studies Minor

The nonprofit studies minor is an interdisciplinary minor which provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for work in the nonprofit sector. This minor is appropriate for students in all colleges and majors who wish to pursue a variety of career choices, from research and advocacy to the arts to health and social services provision.
A graduate certificate in nonprofit studies is also offered.

Course Requirements:
Select 1 course from each of the categories below: 1. Historical and Philosophical Foundations
3. Nonprofit Law and Risk Management
4. Community Outreach/Development and Public Relations Activities
5. Nonprofit Resource Development
6. Nonprofit Internship
- NPS 491 - Nonprofit Internship 3 hrs. or other approved internship in student’s field of study. Internship must be pre-approved by the non-profit studies program coordinator to be used for the non-profit studies minor.
