Public and Applied History Minor

The Public and Applied History (PAH) minor will provide students with interdisciplinary training in topics and skills relevant to public and applied history. These skills allow students to put their training in history into practice through exposure to diverse kinds of historic interpretation, audiences, and accessibility needs. This minor will address the needs of students interested in pursuing a career in public history fields such as museums, historic sites, historic parks, cultural centers, historical societies, special archives and libraries, private companies, and other allied institutions.

Academic Policies and Requirements for Minors:

• Students may only count two of the PAH minor requirements toward their major (6 hours).
• This minor is open to history majors and non-majors.
