Anthropology MA


Overview


The MA program in Anthropology provides training in three of the four discipline subfields. It emphasizes theoretical and methodological perspectives in the interpretation of lifeways of populations both past and present. Upon receiving their degrees, students will be prepared to pursue employment or to continue further graduate studies. The curriculum is designed to be completed in two calendar years.

Program Requirements and Academic Policies


In addition to General Degree Requirements  and General Academic Information , students must complete six graduate credit hours in either a foreign language or in quantitative methods.

Dual MA/MLIS Course Requirements (61 hrs)


Dual MA/MLIS requires thirty (30) hours in Anthropology and thirty-one (31) hours in Library and Information Science.  

Anthropology requirements (30 hours):

Dual MA/MPH with Public Health (69 - 75 hrs)


Dual MA/MPH requires thirty (30) hours in Anthropology and thirty-nine (39) to forty-five (45) hours in Public Health.

Anthropology requirements (30 hours):

Dual MA with History (60 hrs)


Dual MA requires thirty (30) hours in Anthropology and thirty (30) hours in History.
