Sport Coaching Education minor


The sport coaching education minor offers content knowledge and practical experience in preparation for a productive coaching career. The minor offers preparation for students interested in becoming a sport coach at the youth, club, or interscholastic level. To ensure students exposed to all responsibilities of the coaching profession, coursework covers all elements of the national standards for sport coaches.

Academic Policies and Requirements for Minors:

Hours to Minor:The sport coaching education minor requires 18 credit hours of specific coursework in the School of Kinesiology and Nutrition. This minor requires a minimum of three semesters based on course sequencing requirements.

Note:


*PSY 110  is a prerequisite for KIN 409 .

**Students must be First Aid/CPR certified before enrolling in KIN 419 .
