The computer emphasis area offers the student a variety of topics on the uses of computers and digital electronics in today’s technical society. The plan of study leading to the baccalaureate degree provides the student with practical applications of computer technology in combination with the theoretical background necessary for a well-rounded education. Extensive laboratory experience aids the student in the design, analysis and application of digital electronics to the problems encountered in modern technology. Graduates of this program are expected to be knowledgeable in digital electronics, computer hardware and software, and applications involving the computer as a problem-solving tool.
