Program Academic Policies and Requirements:

As a part of the licensure emphasis, all students must meet the requirements of a CAEP-approved program of study. As part of these requirements, licensure students must take the PLT, Praxis II: World Language, and ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview exams. Minimum passing score for the ACTFL OPI is Advanced Low.

Study Abroad

A semester or year of study abroad is strongly recommended to achieve passing professional licensure exam scores in this program. A maximum of 12 hours of study abroad courses may be applied toward the degree. Your program advisor can recommend the best study abroad experience for your educational and professional goals.

Licensure: This program is designed to meet the licensure requirements of the State of Mississippi Department of Education. Students who plan to complete this program should consult the Teacher Education Program Requirements  for program admission, progression, and teacher candidacy requirements.
