Sociology Minor

The minor in sociology is designed to equip the student of another discipline with an understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline of sociology. Faculty members will assist students to select courses that best complement their major interests.

Hours to Minor: 18 hours

Course Requirements:

SOC 101 - Understanding Society: Principles of Sociology 3 hrs. Choose 4 courses with SOC prefix (200 level or higher)

Choose either one additional course with the SOC prefix or one of the following:

ANT 221 - Introduction to Cultural & Linguistic Anthropology 3 hrs.
PSY 360 - Introduction to Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences 3 hrs.
SSGS 400 - Conducting Research in the Social Sciences 3 hrs.
SSGS 401 - Data Analysis and Statistics in the Social Sciences 3 hrs.
