Overview
The Schools of Biological, Environmental, and Earth Sciences and Mathematics and Natural Sciences offer a program of study leading to a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences.
Admission Requirements
In addition to meeting the Academic Requirements and Procedures, applicants must submit the following.
- The applicant must have a grade point average equivalent to at least 3.0 (calculated on a 4.0 scale) for the last two years of undergraduate study, and a grade point average of at least 3.0 on undergraduate courses in the field of proposed graduate study.
- The applicant must have at least three (3) letters of recommendation from persons qualified to assess the applicant’s readiness for graduate study sent to the Graduate School or uploaded into the application.
- Applicants must have MCAT >20 or DCAT >15 or GRE (verbal and quantitative combined) >295.
- Completion of Biochemistry I with a B or better
- Completion of 2 semesters of General Biology with labs with a C or better
- Completion of 1 semester of Genetics with a C or better
- Completion of 1 semester Microbiology with lab with a C or better
- Applicant must pay an application fee for each application submitted.
The target dates for receipt of applications for admission for the fall and spring semesters are July 15 and November 15, respectively. Late applications are not accepted.
