The Bachelor of Science degree program in polymer science at The University of Southern Mississippi is an interdisciplinary program of study with emphasis on research. The student is introduced to the fundamentals and practical operating principles of polymer science focusing on approaches to solving relevant problems in the field. Undergraduates in our program can expect to participate in pioneering research on a variety of topics under the supervision of our faculty.

- Enrollment in any polymer science or polymer science and engineering class requires that the student has achieved a grade of C or higher in the designated prerequisite course(s).
- Polymer science (PSC) and polymer science and engineering (PSE) courses and their prerequisites require a grade of C or better to count toward the polymer science or polymer science and engineering degrees.
