Speech Pathology and Audiology BA


The requirements for this degree are designed to provide a pre-professional foundation for continued course work at the graduate level. Since professional certification and licensure require a graduate degree, students should plan to apply for graduate study at The University of Southern Mississippi (or at another accredited graduate program) following the completion of their undergraduate coursework.

  • Students must maintain a degree plan (DEG 01 300 and 400 level courses only) GPA of 2.75 and earn a grade of C or higher in all SHS prefixed courses. Students who fail to maintain the requisite GPA or minimum letter grade requirements will be placed on program probation for one semester. If GPA or minimum letter grade requirements are not met while on program probation, the student will be dismissed from the program. Only one semester of program probation is allowed in a student’s academic career.
