Physics Minor

Requirements for a Minor

A student desiring a minor may take courses in the physics curriculum totaling at least 18 hours with the exception of the following courses:

• PHY 103 - Introductory Physics 3 hrs.
• PHY 328 - Electronics II 3 hrs.
• PHY 392 - Physics Special Problems 1-3 hrs.
• PHY 435 - Principles of Microwave Systems 3 hrs.
• PHY 451 - Physical Applications of the Fourier Transform. 3 hrs.
• PHY 455 - Fluid Dynamics 3 hrs.
• PHY 460 - Advanced Physics Laboratory 2 hrs.
• PHY 462
• PHY 485 - History and Literature of Physics 3 hrs.
• PHY 499 - Undergraduate Research 1-6 hrs.
