Requirements for a Minor

All students pursuing a minor in speech pathology and audiology must complete 18 hours with a grade of C or higher. Courses required for the minor are

SHS 211 - Introduction to Communication Disorders 3 hrs.
SHS 221 - Introduction to Audiology 3 hrs.
SHS 323 - Basic American Sign Language 3 hrs.

Recommended courses are:

SHS 301 - Language and Speech Development 3 hrs.
SHS 425 - Psycho-Social Factors Associated with Hearing Impairment 3 hrs.
SHS 431 - Language Disorders I: Assessment of Children with Language Disorders 3 hrs.
