The School of Kinesiology and Nutrition is committed to the advancement of knowledge and practice through excellence in education, training, research, and service to cultivate high quality professionals and healthier communities.
The School of Kinesiology and Nutrition offers graduate training in one of three degree-granting, fully online MS programs and one in-person Ph.D. program. Our MS programs (Coaching and Sport Performance MS, Kinesiology MS, and Nutrition and Food Systems MS) are one-year, full-time programs, though students have the option to be part-time. Our dietetic internship with requires Nutrition and Food Systems MS is a two-year, full-time program designed to prepare graduates for practice as Licensed Dietitians. The Ph.D. in Kinesiology is a three-year, full-time program designed to train students to become research scientists and scholars.
The Coaching and Sport Performance MS is accredited by the National Committee for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE); and the Diatetic Internship (DI) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Completion of the Dietetic Internship as well as the master’s degree allows the student to sit for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
