The School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) prepares students for careers in the information professions. Covering all types of media formats, the curriculum prepares future librarians and other information professionals to create, develop, organize, access, and evaluate print and digital resources in a variety of settings. Students take courses across a range of topics, including reference, collection development, cataloging, children’s and young adult literature, information technology in libraries, information science, and school libraries.
