ANT 438 - Archaeology of Complex Societies

Once we all enjoyed relatively equal access to economic resources, power, and prestige. Around 10,000 years ago, that all changed with the emergence of the first hereditary leaders and city-states. This course explores archaeological theory pertaining to the origins and spread of ¿complex¿ societies.
