MGT 670 - Executive Level Analytics

In this course, students will learn how corporate executives identify, evaluate, and capture business analytic opportunities that create value. Toward this end, students will become familiar with basic analytic methods and read about organizations that successfully deployed these techniques. In this course, it is emphasized that business analytics is not a theoretical discipline. These techniques are only interesting and important to the extent they can be utilized to provide real insights and improve the speed, reliability, and quality of decisions. The concepts learned in this course should be used to improve performance and support important decisions. Fundamentally, activities in this course should make students aware of the ways that analytics can be used (and misused) within an organization.
