3-6 hrs. Prerequisite(s): Prior arrangements for evaluation and receipt of credit. Beginning study of the Italian language and culture with emphasis on communicative skills (equivalent to ITA 101 and/or ITA 102). Credit granted for systematic study of the Italian language and culture in a recognized teaching institution, approved in advance by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures; department will examine and grade progress and achievement of participants in program before granting credit.
