Applied Technology BAS


The BAS in Applied Technology program is designed for professionals who desire to advance their careers.  Students can transfer 45 hours of technical credits as electives, and up to 15 hours of general education credit.   By accepting the transfer of up to 45 technical credits,  this program allows students with an interest in technical professions the opportunity to obtain a BAS degree with an applied focus.

Professionals in this program integrate technical skills with competencies gained in concentration areas such as human capital development, business, and industrial technology. By applying these to the development of a highly skilled workforce and the integration of new technologies in the workplace, graduates of the program are prepared to meet the challenges of the new economy with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Program Academic Policies and Requirements:

In addition to coursework in applied technology and human capital development, students will have an option to take 15 hours in a “concentration” area which will complement prior transfer career and technical coursework. The 15 hours will be decided in consultation with an advisor.
